Melina Kazemzadeh is an Associate at Freeman Mathis & Gary, LLP and is located in the Sacramento office. She is a member of the Labor and Employment Law practice section. Melina represents employers in a broad range of employment matters, including claims of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination and wage and hour violations. She advises clients on workplace policies and compliance strategies to minimize legal risk and exposure, and supports all stages of litigation through legal research, discovery and motion practice.
Prior to joining the Firm, Melina gained legal experience through externships focused on employment defense and previously worked in the HR technology sector, advising executives on risk mitigation and compliance strategies.
Melina earned her J.D. from the University of California, Davis School of Law, where she received awards for excellence in the lawyering process and contract drafting, as well as academic achievement in alternative dispute resolution. She holds a B.A. in Communication Studies, magna cum laude, from California State University, Long Beach, and is fluent in English and Farsi.
