Jacob Vegas is an Associate in the Houston office at Freeman Mathis & Gary, LLP. Mr. Vegas is a member of the Tort & Catastrophic Loss Practice Section. Mr. Vegas focuses his litigation work across a diverse array of practice sections with the firm, including commercial disputes, insurance defense and complex civil litigation.
Mr. Vegas earned his Juris Doctor from South Texas College of Law Houston, where he was a member of the Student Bar Association, Oil and Gas Law Society, Aggie Law Society, and held a board position as the Historian of the Tax Law Society. Mr. Vegas was also a member of the Board of Advocates and competed on behalf of South Texas College of Law Houston’s nationally recognized Varsity Moot Court team. As an advocate, he competed at the highest level in competitions nationwide before Judges of the seventh and fifth circuit courts, as well as the Supreme Court of Virginia, where he gained valuable insight into the first impression issues that shape our body of law. As a result of his achievements as an advocate, Jacob was admitted into the prestigious Order of the Barristers, which recognizes the top advocates from law schools across the country.
Mr. Vegas received his Bachelor of Arts in English with a Minor in Classics from the University of Texas A&M
