Overview

Mike Berkley is Senior Counsel at Freeman Mathis & Gary, LLP and is located in the Orlando office. He is a member of the Firm’s Healthcare practice section and is actively involved in the Medical Malpractice interdisciplinary team. Mike brings more than twenty-five years of experience defending physicians, physician extenders, medical practices and hospitals in complex litigation matters1.

Mike represents healthcare providers and institutions across Florida, focusing on the defense of medical malpractice claims and related healthcare litigation. He is known for his thorough case preparation and practical approach to resolving disputes, working closely with clients to develop strategies that align with their goals.

He is admitted to practice in Florida and is a member of several professional organizations dedicated to healthcare law and trial advocacy. Mike earned his Bachelor of Arts with distinction from the University of North Carolina at Asheville in 1990 and his Juris Doctor from Wake Forest University School of Law in 1993.
